For currently enrolled families wanting to join Greensboro Montessori School for part of the Summer, we offer three Two-Week Summer Camps for Primary and Elementary students. Our Two-Week Summer Camps are listed below by age and sorted chronologically. Click on the provided buttons to access each camp’s online registration. If you prefer to register in person, please visit the Front Office with a check written to “Greensboro Montessori School” for the Two-Week Summer Camp deposit ($175) or the full amount ($525).
Primary Session I: The Science of Cooking
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. From the garden to the kitchen, students will engage in experiential activities from harvesting vegetables from the garden to completing scientific experiments featuring measuring, temperatures, and age-appropriate chemical reactions. A fun food- and science-based curriculum for the mind, body, and imagination! All-inclusive camp fee is $525 per student.Register for Primary Session I: June 17-28, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Primary Session II: Summer Safari
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crocodiles, zebras, and giraffes Oh My! Grab your safari hat and explore the great continent of Africa, including all the animals and plants that live there. Find your favorite wild animal by following its tracks through the sweeping deserts and dense jungles to learn about their unique habitats. Primary Session III: Imaginarium
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Let your imagination run wild with this camp designed to spark your creativity through crafts, arts, and theater! Robots, fairies, dragons, unicorns, and anything else you can think of come to life through a variety of fun and expressive activities and lessons. All-inclusive camp fee is $525 per student.Register Primary Session III: July 22-August 2, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Elementary Session I: Construction Challenge
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Have you ever wondered how we build? Rising first through sixth graders will learn about the ins and outs of construction from hands on activities that focus on the world of engineering. Students will use blueprints and project plans to guide them in hands-on building of multiple kinds of structures. Elementary Session II: Under the Sea
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Spend two weeks at sea exploring life beneath the ocean. Hands-on activities will keep students busy learning about marine life ecosystems and processes of life in the sea, while cultivating a love and respect for the ocean through inspiring coastal and marine conservation. All-inclusive camp fee is $525 per student.Register for Elementary Session II: July 8-19, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Elementary Session III: Montessori Market
Daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This wonderful farm-to-market camp is back! Students will spend their first week traveling to local farms to learn about sustainable agriculture while harvesting produce for their second week of cooking, crafting, and creating. They’ll sell their wares at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market on Saturday, August 3. All-inclusive camp fee is $525 per student.Register for Elementary Session III: July 22-August 2, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
